THE CHAPTER FINISHED

The morning of this final day was given to voting on various proposals prepared by the string committee. After the impassionate discussion the following proposals fully approved by the chapter. These proposals are 

• Opening new house in Jima Bonga Vicariate;

• Accepting Dirdawa as Domos Ordins;

• Endorsing the Provincial Minister to study the situation on the proposals of opening new house in the Dawro Area.

After receiving some suggestions from the capitulars the session of the chapter concluded by the words of gratitude and giving some tokens to General Minister and his councilor.

The final act of the Chapter was an  Eucharist celebration at which the new provincial Minister, Br. Gebrewold Gebrezadik, presided, flanked by all the members of the provincial  Council. The liturgy was enriched by song by our student brothers who have decorated all out liturgical celebration during the chapter.  In his homily the provincial Minister reflected on the Gospel of the day which he connected to his final address to fan the flam of our Charism, and invoked the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the province. After the homily the provincial and all the council members were invited to take the public oath of their new ministry.  At the end of the celebration, the General Minister officially declared the the chapter close! Finally Worebie' was sung to thank the Lord for the support of his grace during all the work of the Chapter. Peace and good!
