LOCAL SUPERIORS’ MEETING 

 

On November 28, 2019, we had the Local Superiors’ meeting at Holy Saviour’s Fraternity, Addis Ababa. Be-sides some other important issues related to our life, they discussed thoroughly concerning the pros and cons of the recently established Capuchin Provincial Solidari-ty Fund.

 

Our Local Superiors are unanimous with re-gard to the necessity and importance of the establish-ment of the Solidarity Fund. Notwithstanding, they pointed out that maximum prudence and transparency should be exercised, while executing the aforementioned fund, so as to avoid unnecessary mistrust and confusion.  Having succinctly said that, the aforementioned contributions could be collected from our institutions, schools, kindergartens, parishes and fraternities’ reserve. There is no fixed amount. This depends on the capacity of the above-noted sectors. Local Superiors are therefore kindly asked to collect the contributions at your earliest convenience and send to the bank account of the Solidarity Fund. Be informed that there will be audition as far as accountability is concerned. Moreover, a kind of manual dealing with the objective and use of the Provincial Solidarity Fund is in preparation and will be sent to you no sooner than will it be completed.
